We solve some of the most frequently asked questions about crowdfunding platforms.
What is crowdfunding?

“Collective cooperation, carried out by people who create a network to raise money or other resources, usually using the Internet to fund efforts and initiatives of other people or organizations.” Source: Wikipedia.

Who are the project promoters?

All those individuals or organizations that are interested in funding a specific project and want a community of interested parties to make financial or other contributions to fund them. We call them project promoters, and they must submit what is requested in the section of this platform dedicated to this purpose, SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT.

You need to fill in all the data requested in the SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT section. We recommend that you first read the Guide to submitting projects to make everything related to the campaign clear to you. Then, you must complete the following information:

  • Project information
  • Requested financial amount
  • Needs
  • How you will spend the contributions
  • Rewards you will give

Project review

This platform where you find yourself selects the most suitable projects for its community. Therefore, it is essential that, before being posted for funding, they are analyzed for possible improvements, which will be presented to the project promoter.

Who finances the projects?

The contributors or donors are the individuals or organizations that make financial or other contributions with which the project can be carried out.

Can I have my project on multiple platforms?

NO, at least during the time your project is seeking funding on our platform, you cannot post it on another platform. The reason is simple: it takes a lot of resources, people, and work to ensure a crowdfunding campaign succeeds, and we believe the best way to fund the project is to focus all your efforts on a single platform, thus avoiding dispersion.

I have requested money on other platforms. Can I request money again on this one?

YES, in this case, we give you the opportunity to request contributions for your project on our platform again.

In addition to requesting money, can I request non-monetary contributions?

Indeed, as a project promoter, we give you the opportunity to request non-monetary contributions, such as time, the donation of an item, the sharing of knowledge, etc.

Can the project reach its goal ahead of time?

Yes, that would be very good news. The project can reach its goal, and the time to raise money will remain active; it will not stop.

What happens if the project promoter receives the money but does NOT send the rewards or carry out the project?

In these cases, the project promoter is obliged to return each of the contributions made by the contributors or donors, at no cost to them. Both the contributors and the platform managers reserve the right to take legal action against project promoters who had committed to carrying out the project for which they received money or other resources and ultimately do not carry it out.

What do you mean by the funding goal?

This is the amount of money that the project promoter requests as a minimum for the project to be carried out.

Does the platform set a minimum and maximum funding limit?

NO, the project promoter is the one who knows best what is needed at a minimum for the project to develop, so it will be they who determine how much is needed. On the other hand, the platform also does not limit the maximum amount that can be raised.

What tools do I have to manage my project?

Many and varied. As a project promoter, you have different tools that will allow you to perform various actions before and during the crowdfunding campaign. Some of them are editable during the campaign, others are not. Some tools are:

  • Incorporation of videos
  • Incorporation of images
  • New information about the project.
  • Direct contact with contributors or donors.
  • Answering questions that arise about the project.
  • Sharing on social networks.
  • Project dissemination via URL
  • Project dissemination through widgets that can be integrated into other websites or blogs

If my project is funded on this platform, how will I receive the raised money?

You must provide the platform managers with a bank account where the amount raised will be deposited, minus the platform's commission, if applicable.

How much does it cost to publish my project on this crowdfunding platform?

Nothing, it is completely free to submit and then publish your project on our platform.

Who owns the intellectual property or copyright of the projects posted and/or funded on this platform?

Solely and exclusively their authors, who may or may not be the ones submitting the project to this crowdfunding platform. We recommend that, if possible, you register the project with the corresponding intellectual property registry before submitting it to this platform. Certain projects can also be registered using other means (which complement the former), such as Creative Commons. The managers or creators of the crowdfunding platform, as well as the platform itself, have no rights related to the intellectual property of the visible and fundable projects.

What information do I have about my project on this platform?

As a project promoter, you have a lot of information at your disposal, some of the options are:

  • Data about contributors or donors who have contributed.
  • Information necessary to correctly deliver all rewards, if applicable.
  • Time remaining to fund my project.
  • Questions that community members have regarding your project.

Can my project be edited after the platform publishes it?

YES, but only in certain sections during the active funding campaign. Other sections, such as the requested money or the amount requested per reward, CANNOT be edited.

What does the News section refer to?

As a project promoter, you must continually inform your current and future followers about the progress of the campaign. In this section, you can indicate the news generated by the project that you consider should be known by everyone.

What does the Contributors' Wall refer to?

On many occasions, contributors and donors have questions, recommendations, or simply comments to make. In this section, anyone in the community can make their contribution. As a project promoter, we recommend that you pay close attention to this section, as the faster and better you interact with your community, the greater the sense of involvement they will have.

What does the Collaborators section refer to?

This refers to the contributors, donors, or people who make non-monetary contributions.

Is it possible to stop and cancel my project during the fundraising process?

It is possible, although not recommended, so we ask that you make sure everything is correct when you post the project for funding. If you decide to cancel it, you must explain to the people who have trusted you and made a commitment to contribute the reasons for that decision since you have the means to stay in contact with your community.

If during the fundraising process I realize as a promoter that I will not be able to carry out the project as indicated, what should I do?

The best thing to do is to stop and cancel the project as soon as possible, informing the people who have made a commitment to contribute and those who are interested in doing so of the reasons that led you to make this decision. We remind you that if the project is funded and you receive the money, you must scrupulously fulfill the commitments made, including delivering rewards. If you do not, you may incur a crime, and both the contributors or donors and the platform managers can take legal action against you. Therefore, before posting a project for funding, make sure that you can fulfill the agreement if the project is funded with the requested amount or more.

How can I promote my project?

The platform offers you various tools for this purpose, which are essential to achieving success. Some of these include:
